The Public Services Ombudsman now has a role to play in disputes or complaints by parents against a school. She joins a long list of bodies that are engaged if Jonny comes to school with a number one haircut or Sheena acquires a tattoo.

The interaction of the relevant bodies and what they provide for the parents or the school is complex.
